Divish Bhagtani is a high school student at Aditya Birla World Academy (ABWA), Mumbai. Deeply committed to environmental sustainability and technological innovation, he is particularly interested in Environmental Engineering, with a focus on applying Materials Science and Engineering to address air pollution through the development of novel particulate matter reduction technologies.
Under the mentorship of Hitendra Vaishnav, Assistant Vice President at OMOTEC and Professor of Engineering, Divish conducted research titled "Comparative Analysis of Plant-Based and Electrostatic Precipitation Methods for Indoor Particulate Matter Reduction." The paper was accepted for publication in the proceedings of the International Conference on Mechanics and Mechanics of Materials (IC3M) (November 2025), published in the International Journal of Advanced Engineering Application (IJAEA) (December 2025), and submitted to the IRIS National Science Fair 2025.
In addition to his work in environmental research, Divish has pursued advanced studies and activities in mathematics, the sciences, robotics, and technology. He also holds a Black Belt (1st Dan) in Taekwondo. Through Build4Sustainability Mumbai, Divish combines his interests in environmental science, materials engineering, and technological innovation to develop practical, research-driven solutions that address one of India's most pressing urban environmental challenges.
